I was aboard the Hornet from Dec 1967 to Sept 1969 in E division. As an electrician, I got to work on the umbilical power lines, the AC and DC power converters to the aircraft and for the Apollo 11 and 12 science trailers as well as the recovered spacecraft.

During school, we guys couldn't wait for the new cars to come out each year. The dealers would have the showroom windows covered so one couldn't see in until that great day. We would skip last hour to get down to see the cars, dealership by dealership. It was a real event back in the 50's & 60's. Kids today miss so much, all the cars look alike and dealers have no loyalty to any particular brank. So much lost to progress.

We have a group of ya-ya girls, started from a book club.  Ya-ya sisterhood naturally became the name of our book club, after sipping several glasses of wine and laughing until our faces hurt.  your web site is great information about ya-yas and who we truly are!  thanks!

Cute! I love the Chevy's and the bouncing record. We had a Chevy like the one on the right. Bought it used with about 68,000 miles on it for $200. Drove it until it had163,000 miles on it and sold it for $250.00.
